The Miravet-Benifallet kayak route is our crown jewel, the most spectacular kayaking route and our clients' favorite. It's the most beautiful stretch of the Catalan Ebro... and at night, under a sky full of stars, it becomes an experience we're convinced will leave you speechless.
The Ebro, our protagonist, leaves the lands of the Ribera d'Ebre and gently flows into the Baix Ebre, bringing its vital gift. Setting off at sunset, we'll enjoy it from the river with views of the village of Miravet. Little by little, daylight will fade and the sky will open in all its splendor: thousands of stars reflecting on the calm surface of the river, with every paddle stroke seeming to stir the Milky Way itself. The river reveals a completely new face: more mysterious, more intimate, more magical.
We'll cross the Barrufemes pass, one of the river's most beautiful faces; a route of rich vegetation, with ancient rocks now silhouetted against a starry sky. Nestled between the Cardó mountains and the Cavalls and Pàndols ranges, far from any light pollution, this stretch of river becomes one of the best natural viewpoints to admire the stars of the entire Catalan Ebro.
We'll arrive in Benifallet, the village of the Caves, the llagut, the kayaks, the taula, fruit, and the pastisset.
How the activity works:
Before getting in the water, we give a theoretical-practical explanation and special tips for night navigation, also designed for beginners. In this area, with calm waters and no current, you'll put the theory into practice and easily learn the basic maneuvers, while the sunset accompanies us.
Our guides stay with the group at all times, providing hands-on instruction in proper kayaking technique and night navigation on the river. During the descent, we make a special stop to rest, stretch our legs, drink, eat and, above all, turn off the lights and let ourselves be carried away by the spectacle of the starry sky, in a silence broken only by the murmur of the water. We also paddle through the interior of some beautiful islands, where the riverside forest stands out against a sky full of stars.
🛶 Kayaks:
We have single and double kayaks, as well as triple and quadruple ones (recommended only when two adults paddle with children in between). Let us know in the comments section how many kayaks and what type you need.
