Llanxa a motor

The Barrufemes motorboat route is a highly scenic, culturally rich, and very enjoyable excursion to discover emblematic sites such as the village of Miravet, its Templar castle, and the traditional ferry crossing — the last one still moved exclusively by the force of the river current.

On this excursion we take you up to Miravet, where we stop for breakfast or a short stroll through the centuries-old streets of Cap de la Vila. Once the visit to Miravet is over, we get back on the boat to return to Benifallet.

Departure is from the Benifallet jetty, and the time is arranged when you book the excursion with Beniemocions (usually between 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., depending on availability).

Up to 6 people can travel on the motorboat.

Points of interest:

• Miravet ferry crossing: the last remaining crossing where you can cross the Ebro in the traditional way, with the boats relying only on the current and the boatman's skill at the helm to reach the other bank.
• Miravet tamarisk grove: a typical Mediterranean forest where tamarisk is the predominant species, an important PEIN (Nature Interest Area) for hosting a large number of passerine birds.
• Miravet Castle and village, of Arab origin and of great importance and splendor following the conquest by Ramon Berenguer IV and its subsequent donation to the Order of the Temple (your guide will explain the detailed history).
• The weir, Arab mill, and the Blores route.
• Masdeus ravine.
• Besaculs and Xesa rocks.
• Roca de les Àligues and Llevatera shaded slope.
• Xesa beach.
• Lligem watchtower and Roca Folletera.
• Roca dels Penjats.
• The Lligem maquis, the Cova Roja.
• Segura ravine and Fondo ravine.
• The Foradades del Tinent.
• Nap island and Cateula island.
• Catxorro ravine, the Roman site of Mas del Catxorro, and the Llaguter bridge.
