Via Verda: Ruta Horta de Sant Joan - Benifallet

Discover the Green Way, a former railway corridor that runs through old stations, tunnels, valleys, ravines, bridges, viaducts, streams, and swimming areas. It’s an easy cycling route, ideal for outings with family or friends. The bike route from Horta de Sant Joan to Benifallet station along the Greenway is one of the most comfortable, as it has a gentle downhill slope that allows the bike to roll effortlessly. This makes it suitable for all ages and lets you fully enjoy the natural surroundings.

The route is 23km long and can be done in the morning or afternoon, although we recommend taking a few hours to make a pleasant stop at the Fontcalda sanctuary. This beautiful route first takes you past Bot station, then Prat de Comte, and shortly after, Fontcalda. Next come the stations of Pinell de Brai and finally Benifallet, where the route ends. As with previous routes, most of the journey follows the Canaletes River valley, offering a rich and varied landscape. You can also start the same route from Arnes-Lledó station, adding 5 km to the total distance.

We offer mountain bike rentals in all sizes, the most suitable option for short and easy routes like the cycling tours we propose—so easy that you won’t need a guide to accompany you. We also provide transport and pick-up services. You can leave your car at the end point (we will take you to the starting point), so once you finish the activity, you can leave without waiting for any transport service.
