Description
The complete mountain day pack!
Adventure Park
The Beniemocions course is an adventure activity made up of 16 different games designed for ages 8 and over. It is built among the trees, with elevated platforms, usually between pine trees, connecting elements such as bridges, nets, vines, rope walkways and zip lines, creating a fun and exciting route in the heart of nature.
Before starting, there is a short briefing explaining how to use the safety harnesses and carabiners correctly. These are connected to a continuous lifeline that ensures participants can never unclip at any point. The activity ends with one or two zip lines, the super zip line being the highlight and most spectacular part of the route. Please note that the 140 m zip line is not physically inside the 16-game course but is a separate zip line. This means that only those who wish to will do it, and it is not compulsory as part of the main route. In addition, anyone who wants even more thrills can opt for the extra 375 m zip line, available as an add-on to the course.
Zip Line Circuit
The Beniemocions zip line circuit is an experience designed for lovers of adrenaline and speed. It combines two spectacular zip lines, the 140-metre and the 375-metre, creating a route full of excitement and impressive views over the forest and the natural surroundings.
This activity lets you enjoy the feeling of flying between the trees in complete safety, using approved harnesses and safety systems. The 140 m zip line serves as a first taste, while the 375 m one is the longest and most thrilling, ideal for finishing the experience with an extra dose of adrenaline. It is a perfect option for anyone looking for an activity independent of the tree course, more focused on the speed and fun of zip line flying.
Zip Line Circuit + Adventure Park
The full Beniemocions circuit is the most complete and exciting experience in the park. It combines the activities in the trees with the two big zip lines of 140 m and 375 m, offering an adventure full of adrenaline, fun and contact with nature. The route begins with the tree course, made up of 16 different games set among the pine treetops: bridges, nets, vines, rope walkways and small zip lines. This first part lets you test your balance, dexterity and coordination, always with harnesses and safety lines. Once the course is completed, the experience continues with the zip line circuit, which links the 140 m zip line and the 375 m super zip line, offering the incomparable feeling of flying over the forest and enjoying spectacular views.
The full circuit is therefore the best option for those who want to experience all the thrills of Beniemocions in a single activity, combining adventure, speed and nature in a unique route.
Children’s Park
The Beniemocions children’s course is an adventure activity designed especially for children aged 4 and over. It is designed so the little ones can enjoy the experience of an adventure park in complete safety, adapted to their age and height. The route runs close to the ground, with platforms, bridges, nets, vines and small zip lines that let children test their balance, coordination and confidence while having a great time.
Before starting, they receive a short explanation and are fitted with harnesses and safety lines just like adults, but sized for them. Throughout the route, they are supervised by park staff and by their companions. It is an ideal activity for introducing young children to adventure courses in a playful, safe and fun-filled way.
Adventure Park + Segway Introduction
In addition, at Beniemocions you can also try a Segway introduction once you have finished the course. The Segway is a single-person electric vehicle with two parallel wheels and a handlebar for keeping your balance, and it moves through your body movement: you just lean slightly forward or backward to go or to brake. It is very easy to use and offers a fun, different way of getting around. This introduction lets you easily learn how the vehicle works, practise controlling it and enjoy a short ride around the park. It is a perfect activity to round off the adventure experience, adding a touch of novelty and technological fun.
*Picnic area and parking: At the entrance to the adventure park, next to the road leading to the Coves Meravelles de Benifallet, there is a leisure area in the heart of nature where you can rest and recover your strength, as well as a free parking area.
*Maximum safety: We use state-of-the-art harnesses and “smart” continuous-lifeline carabiners (they cannot be opened), the safest on the market.
20 km route to the sanctuary of the Mare de Déu de la Fontcalda, an obligatory stop whether we descend from Bot or Horta de Sant Joan or climb from Benifallet or Tortosa.
An ideal place that, besides the well-deserved rest from the route, lets us visit the sanctuary dedicated to its virgin, in a marvellous spot beside the silent, transparent Canaletes river, which plays and runs gently, enclosed between mountains. Besides the beautiful grounds around the sanctuary, we should stroll calmly along the banks of the stream that comes down from the Ports with its crystal-clear waters, caressing the rock and carving, over the centuries, gorges of whimsical shapes.
If we set out from Benifallet station, the route is fairly easy, flat and enchanting. The captivating power of nature grows as we go, until we reach the sanctuary. We recommend setting out in the morning, to reach the sanctuary before midday, rest and have a relaxed lunch. Nap lovers can make the most of it afterwards. In the afternoon, wander along the little paths, along the bank of the Canaletes and enjoy the surroundings and their peace to the fullest… Hey! But remember to head back.
The only drawback is a slight, almost imperceptible slope. But we find the comforting reward that nature and the landscape give us. We will really enjoy the coolness of the tunnels, and soon we cross the impetuous Riberola bridge, which lets us fly majestically over the Canaletes. We will move away from the river briefly to pass the Pinell de Brai station, but we soon meet it again and it will accompany us all the way to the sanctuary itself. The name Fontcalda refers to a hot-water spring that wells up at the foot of the grounds, right beside the Canaletes.
These are mineral-medicinal waters that emerge at about 25 ºC. They contain calcium chloride and carbonate, magnesium sulphate and sodium chloride. They are believed to have been used for therapeutic purposes since antiquity.
Going to the Via Verda without visiting the Fontcalda is like going to Paris without visiting the Eiffel Tower or going to Barcelona without strolling along Las Ramblas.
*Important: The included equipment is an Orbea bike, helmet, light and a bag with tools for simple repairs.
*You can use the bike for as many hours as you like, up to 1 hour before nightfall.
*Please check availability if you also want a transfer to Horta de Sant Joan.
